Ivan is from Sunnyvale, and has been teaching piano for over 10 years.

He is able to help kids pass ABRSM or Certificate of Merit Exams, having passed the Advanced Level himself.

Piano Curriculum

Ages 3-5

We teach the “Rainbow Piano Method” for kids under the age of 5, where colors are assigned to different notes.

Ages 5-8

For kids under the age of 8, we recommend using Alfred’s Basic Prep Course (Levels A, B, C, D, E, F)

Ages 8 -12

For older kids, we recommend using Alfred’s Basic Piano Library (Levels 1-6)

Ages 12+

For teenagers and adults, we recommend using the adult all-in-one course by Alfred’s. Or we can adapt to the students needs based on their preferred genre of music (Pop, Classical, Jazz).
